We did not really have a lot of ideas going into the process, but Ksenia is creative, gives great input and is accommodating regarding the couples‘ wishes at the same time, so she helped us to create what we wanted step by step.Although we met for the first time in person on the day of our party it instantly felt like she was part of the family and of the party, everyone loved her easygoing personality and her way of interacting with people. I’m Ksenia, a Berlin-based wedding photographer with over 15 years of experience photographing people and celebrations. Over the years, I’ve learned that the most meaningful photographs are rarely the perfectly planned ones. They happen in quiet pauses, during conversations with loved ones, in unexpected laughter, or in the way the light falls across a room at the end of the evening.

My work is rooted in observation rather than constant direction. Throughout most of the day, I document what is happening naturally. When guidance is helpful, during portraits, family photographs, or moments that need a little structure, I step in gently to create a relaxed experience without taking you away from your celebration for long.

Alongside digital photography, I also work with analog film, which adds texture, softness, and a timeless quality to the story. How many hours of coverage do we need for a Berlin wedding?

It depends on your plans. For a civil ceremony and a short couple session, a few hours can be enough. For a more complete story with preparations, guests, portraits, and celebration, longer coverage usually works better.

Do you also photograph weddings outside Berlin?

Yes. I am based in Berlin and regularly photograph weddings in Brandenburg, across Germany, and in other parts of Europe.

I photograph weddings at Standesämter throughout Berlin and Brandenburg. Some ceremony locations couples particularly love include Standesamt Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf, the Wedding Villa in Zehlendorf, Gutshaus Steglitz, and Schloss Köpenick. That said, beautiful photographs are less about the location itself and more about the light, the atmosphere, and the people you're sharing the day with.

The best location depends on the atmosphere you are looking for. For elegant architecture, I often recommend Museum Island, the Humboldt Forum, Gendarmenmarkt, or Schloss Charlottenburg. Couples who prefer greenery and a quieter setting often love Körnerpark or the area around Wannsee, while Tempelhofer Feld, Kreuzberg, Prenzlauer Berg, and Neukölln can be perfect for a more urban Berlin feel.
